Southern College of Sun Yat-sen University is an independent college established by Sun Yat-sen University and Guangdong Zhujiang Investment Group in 2006 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Our school is a multi-disciplinary full-time applied undergraduate college. In 2016, we were selected as a pilot university for general undergraduate transformation in Guangdong Province.

Our school is located in Conghua District, known as the "Pearl on the Tropic of Cancer" and "Guangzhou Back Garden". The campus covers an area of 1,000 acres. After thirteen years of construction and development, We have completed teaching lifecultural and sports facilities. The campus is well-organized, beautiful and peaceful, and it is a winning place for cultivating sentiments and studying. The school library covers an area of 29,100 square meters, has a collection of 2.06 million volumes, shares more than 120,000 electronic journals of Sun Yat-sen University library, and 3.64 million electronic books. It has been initially built into a digital library, and has also created a 24-hour open management model for college libraries in Guangdong Province to fully meet the needs of readers.

The school has established a discipline system with management, economics, and literature as its mainstay, coordinated development of engineering, science, medicine, and art, which is with a reasonable structure complementary advantages, and distinctive features. Now we have 13 colleges (departments, departments, centers), a total of 40 majors. 19,182 students and 2,300 students in continuing education, which include the School of Literature and Media, the School of Foreign Languages, the Department of Public Management, the Department of Art Design and Creative Industries, the School of Accounting, the Business School, the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Department of Music, the School of Health and Nursing, and the School of Medical and Health Management of Yunkang , College of Comprehensive Literacy, College English Teaching Center, Physical Education Center.

In the past 13 years, the level of school running has been continuously improved, and social reputation has gradually increased. We have won the "Guangdong Private Education Outstanding Contribution Award", "China's Independent College of Social Impact", "China's Most Independent School with Independent Schools", "2019 China Six-Star Independent College", "China's Top Independent College" and other honors. We rank fourth in Guangdong province and ranks eighth in China. In Xinhuanet's "Voice of Education in a Great Country", we won the "2018 Independent Academy of Comprehensive Strength" Award. In the "Reverberation China" event of Tencent, we won the "2018 Independent Institute of Comprehensive Strength".

Faculty requirements (one of the following conditions)

l  Doctoral graduates or post-doctoral staff.

  Graduates with higher quality and development potential.

  Non-retired lecturers or above.

  Retired associate professors or above within the past two years.

 

Basic conditions

l  Abide by disciplines and laws, have good ideological and political qualities, and have no violations of laws and disciplines;

  Love education and have a rigorous academic spirit and good professional ethics;

  Active academic thinking, full of innovative spirit, with an international academic vision, physical and mental health, able to engage in front-line work in teaching and scientific research, competent for teaching professional courses and research tasks;

  New graduate graduates are generally under the age of 30;

  Doctoral graduates or lecturers are generally under the age of 40;

l  Post-doctorates are generally under the age of 45;

l  People with deputy senior titles or above are generally under the age of 63.

 

 Compensation and Benefits

Treatment

1.        The first employment period of the introduced personnel is generally three years. During the employment period, the annual salary of the doctor before tax is 180,000;

2.         Provide registered residences and personnel files docking services;

Lodging

We offer on-campus teacher apartments rental. The housing standard for master graduates is single room, the housing standard for doctoral graduates and lecturers is one room and one hall, and the housing standard for postdoctoral and associate professor titles and above is two rooms and one hall.

Settlement fee

We provide a resettlement fee of 50,000 yuan for newly introduced post-doctoral and doctoral graduates.

Research Start-up Fee

The support object for the start-up fee for scientific research is newly introduced doctoral graduates and post-doctorates, with a support amount of 50,000 to 80,000 yuan (the start-up fee for scientific research needs to be declared in accordance with school procedures and approved by the academic committee).

Research AwardCalculate scores based on the type and level of individual scientific research results, divide the grades, and give corresponding rewards according to the grades. The maximum reward for each natural year is 100,000 yuan, which is implemented in accordance with the scoring standards and reward methods of the college scientific research results.
