The Research Center for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (RCMIS) hosts Workshop on Intelligent Control and Financial High Technology in Network Environment during 27 November and 2 December. Dozens of well-known domestic and foreign experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University, Fudan University, Shandong University, Beijing Normal University Hong Kong Baptist International Union College, Zhejiang University of Technology, and industry entrepreneurs attended the workshop.

During the meeting, Professor Peng Shige, academician Chinese Academy of Sciences, director of the RCMIS, Han Shenghao, vice president of Shandong University, president of Qingdao campus, and Kong Lingdong, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Qingdao campus, conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the development and discipline construction of the center. The overall development strategy and planning and key research directions will focus on the country's major needs, extract core mathematical problems in economic and social management, engineering technology, to provide high-end academic platforms for experts and scholars, to carry out forward-looking research and exchanges, to promote the further development of mathematical disciplines, and to drive the rapid development of related interdisciplinary fields.

During the report session, Professor Zhao Yunbo of Zhejiang University of Technology and Dr. Chen Wei, a PhD supervisor of Peking University, gave report of "The Evolution of Control: From Sharing Information to Sharing Autonomy" and "Excellent Inequality and Its Application in Control" respectively. The participating experts and scholars actively raised their questions and opinions, conducted in-depth discussions with the reporter, and proposed new perspectives based on their own research directions. This seminar showed the promising prospects of the cross development of mathematics and control theory, and promoted the cross integration of network control theory and finance.

During the meeting, Professor Peng Shige and the participating experts conducted a small-scale, in-depth, and diversified exchange and discussion. The discussion was effective and extensive, covering probability theory and stochastic analysis, financial mathematics, bioinformatics, control science, and other disciplines. The workshop broke the boundaries of disciplines and colleges at home and abroad, the barriers of schools and enterprises, and closely combined schools, research institutes and enterprises. During the workshop, experts and scholars put forward their feasibility opinions and suggestions on the development of the research center based on their own learning and scientific research experience.

In order to better demonstrate the surrounding environment and conditions of the Qingdao campus, and to promote the construction of talent teams, the center organized experts and scholars to visit the Kindergarten of Shandong University and experience the core cultural concept and kindergarten curriculum of Shandong University's "root cultivation education, with love". Attendees visited three themed courtyards of the kindgarden representing the regional culture of Qingdao, Chinese traditional culture, and world multiculturalism. The kindergarten takes "Chinese culture" as its foundation, "Shandong University culture" as its context, and "regional culture" for branches and leaves, and "world culture" as a high level of environmental culture, peers highly praised the characteristics of kindergarten’s facilities, management, culture and high-quality kindergarten education.

The workshop not only promoted the exchange of academic ideas, strengthened the cooperation among mathematics and other disciplines and the industry, promoted the exchange of research results of universities, research institutes, and industries, and had far-reaching significance for the development of the center.
