Shandong University is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, with a long history, complete disciplines, strong academic strength, and distinctive school characteristics. And Shandong University is a key university for the national "211 Project" and "985 Project", and the national "double first-class" construction of Class A universities.

The Mathematical and Interdisciplinary Research Center of Shandong University was established in November 2018. It is an independent scientific research institution directly under the school. Professor Peng Shige, a well-known financial mathematician and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is the director. The center is located the shore of the Yellow Sea, the northern foot of Laoshan Mountain and the bank of Aoshan Bay. It has excellent location, environment, policy and basic education advantages. The Center cooperates with the National Center for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to consolidate the strengths of mathematics and related disciplines, and establishes research teams such as financial mathematics, control science, data science, information security, bioinformatics, marine information, and basic mathematics to conduct forward-looking research. And it strives to create a cradle of high-level talent training and a leading major original innovation base.

Ⅰ. Disciplinary direction and recruitment positions

We recruit outstanding teachers and postdoctoral fellows at home and abroad in mathematics and financial economic science, control and operational science, life science, data science, marine science and other cross-scientific research fields, especially related cross-scientific research fields based on theoretical analysis, data and calculation。

We will use the methods of international peer expert evaluation to select the best candidates.

Ⅱ、Application conditions

（Ⅰ）Top talents: Academicians, Yangtze river Scholars, Distinguished Young Scholars and top talents with corresponding level.

（Ⅱ）High-level young talents：Young Yangtze river Scholars、Excellent Young Scholars、Youth Talents and those who have entered the interview process of the corresponding youth talent projects or other outstanding young scholars.

1. Candidates should have a PhD degree and have a background in mathematics-related interdisciplinary research. The age should not exceed 40 years old. After hired, they should work full time at the school.

2. Candidates should have formal teaching or scientific research positions in well-known universities, research institutes or R & D institutions in well-known enterprises at home and abroad; they are top talents among their peers in the research field and have the development potential to become the academic or technical leaders in this field. For those who are particularly outstanding, they can break through the limit of the number of years in office and be introduced exceptionally.

（Ⅲ）Qilu Young Scholar

1. Candidates should have a PhD degree a background in mathematics-related interdisciplinary research, and should be under 35 years old.

2.Candidates should have achieved landmark research results with significant academic influence, with strong academic potential, and their academic level ranks among the forefront of scholars of the same age in this subject area.

3.Overseas applicants should generally be high-level university assistant professors and above or have experience in corresponding positions in research institutions, or long-term overseas academic training experience.

（Ⅳ）Middle-aged and young teachers

1. Candidates should have  a PhD degree from a high-level university or research institution, and have a background in cross-disciplinary research related to mathematics.

2. Candidates should have outstanding academic potential, innovative thinking and ability, or have the development potential to become an international academic leader in this discipline, and be an outstanding talent in the field of their peers in the international field.

3.The age of applicants for associate research positions is generally not more than 35 years old, and the age of applicants for research positions is generally not more than 40 years old. For particularly outstanding or potential talents, the age limit can be broken.

（Ⅴ）Postdoctoral Fellows:We recruit three types of postdoc: Specially funded postdoctoral fellows, key funded postdoctoral fellows and project funded postdoctoral fellows.

1.Candidates should have a research background in mathematics and related interdisciplinary subjects, and the age should not exceed 35 years.

2.Candidates should obtain doctoral degrees from well-known universities and research institutes at home and abroad.

3.Candidate postdoctoral research topics are forward-looking, innovative and feasible.

Ⅲ、Treatment and support conditions

2.Enjoy Qingdao's lodging subsidies: RMB 1 million for academicians, RMB 500,000 for Yangtze River scholars, national candidates for the New Century Talent Project, winners of National Outstanding Youth Fund, and other special talents of the State Council and government. Contributed 300,000 yuan for young and middle-aged experts, Shandong Taishan scholars, or personnel at corresponding levels.

3.High-level talents (Qilu young scholars and above) can purchase a set of price-restricted housing with full property rights in Shandong University (Qingdao). In the first year of employment, they will provide expert apartments with preferential rents or rent subsidies.

4. Young and middle-aged teachers' research funding: 60,000 to 200,000 yuan. If selected into the "Future Plan for Young Scholars of Shandong University", an annual subsidy of at least 30,000 yuan and will be issued to obtain research funding of not less than 200,000 yuan.

5.During work, people who have outstanding working ability and excellent scientific research results will be awarded 100,000 to 300,000 yuan.

6. The school provides first-class medical care services for faculty and staff, and provides children with the highest quality basic education in Shandong Province.
